Résume  Fusion algebras (also known as Verlinde algebras) appear either in the representation theory of KacMoody Lie algebras, Hecke algebras or tilting modules for quantum groups, namely as Grothendieck rings of certain semisimple tensor categories. In this talk I want to give a very explicit description of this ring, together with a combinatorial construction and a description of its spectrum. This will then be connected with the quantum cohomology ring of Grassmannians for which combinatorial constructions are wellknown. Our goal is to show that both sides have a nice interpretation in terms of an integrable model. Finally we describe their connection in terms of a ``BosonFermion correspondence''.
